REMOTE WORKING: SIMPLIFIED PROCEDURE EXTENDED UNTIL 31st DECEMBER 2021
Law no. 87 of 17th June 2021 was published in the Official Gazette no. 146 of 21st June 2021, converting into law, with amendments, Law Decree no. 52/2021, setting out “Urgent measures for the gradual recovery of economic and social activities in compliance with the needs to contain the spread of the VOCID-19 epidemic”.
Among the innovations of greatest interest to employers, included in the conversion into law, is the extension, until 31st December 2021, of the simplified procedure for making notifications of remote working and the possibility, for private employers, to make use of this method of carrying out work for each employment relationship even in the absence of individual agreements.
The texts of the following decrees were incorporated into the aforementioned law, in force since 22th June 2021:
- Decree-Law No 56/2021, on “Urgent provisions on legislative deadlines”;
- Decree-Law No 65/2021, on the anticipation of some of the reopenings provided for in the “yellow zone” by Decree-Law No 52/2021.
